Concert review: 2 Folk Night in the Küz with Whisht! and Bachelors Walk on 30/05/2008 Oh the Küz in Trosdorf-Sieglar
yes, there are some venues. I know not, and such a gap in education Petra and I closed this Friday evening. Sieglar is a place that belongs to Troisdorf, right bank, north-west of Siegburg, either directly on the Rhine, or on a slope, but still very pretty. The Küz is a bar and a hall, the pub seems to be private, the hall in municipal management, but both work closely together. A special treat was already before the first Konzertton heard: As the bar was opened, there was a buffet, which includes the audience were invited. Well, no wonder that after the dance, no one calls the musician obeyed.
In January, there was already a folk night in the Küz with Irish stew and the Battlefield Band. And There will be two more who have been placarded, one with Stew and The Foggy Aberlour and one with Dan and Beoga, ie each with a nationally or internationally known band headlining and a regionally or nationally known band as opening act. However, it turned out there was at least this time no hierarchical difference between first and second group, because both shared the stage time honestly.
first played so Whisht! In the audience were a few familiar faces to me, it is likely that this top band from each region is not been known. Add to Whisht already! Add Rezis written this time not much. Sabrina Palm (fiddle, harmony vocals), John Schiefner (Uilleann pipes, tin whistle, keyboards, vocals), Holger Ries (cajon and other Percussorium, vocals) and Eckhard Topp (guitar, vocals) played back on the road Rhythm'n'Reel its finest, singing songs from Ireland, Brittany and Scotland. Who knows, I joked about it like that Sabrina never sang, which is now wondering about the "harmonies" in the top bracket. Yes, but very reserved, but she actually sang in the background, at least for one song. Perhaps they did so, then I was not noticed. In general, the with the songs of this band is such a thing: on the one hand, their strength lies squarely with the instrumentals they present with a fineness and filigree work and also a lot of pressure, but on the other hand their songs real catchy tunes that I always notice when I've been listening to their CD and then just the songs, not instrumentals sum before me or whistle. Certainly the reasons is that the latter are rather complex, but the songs have simple melodies, but also beautiful. And as written before, are the dance tunes by Whisht! not necessarily danceable, as played very fast. In memory of another occasion almost dislocated little finger on the ride, we left it at this time rather enjoyable listen, which also filled the buffet as was mention of the Stomach was pleasant. Sabrina's Violin showed "Broceliande" less as usual, how can they sound scratchy when it should. Does it sound otherwise, it's as if the steel frame of a sinking ocean liner bent so equal it this time rather beautiful whale song. But that it should be the birds in the forest of Broceliande, well, sure I would not come. There must Morgaine the Sorceress, the Merlin banished into the white bush bush, her fingers have been in the game. But watch! It was just that the man had on the mixer for the most part the guitar and percussion too loud and set the pipes and fiddle too quiet. This was towards the end of the act better, but he was really not the point.
Bachelors Walk, disputing the second part of the concert are bred Irishman, though living in Swabia. Even there I heard them the first time in 1992 in Horb am Neckar as support for the Battlefield Band, and then again in 1993 in Koblenz at the St. Patrick's Day Celebration Festival. The band consists of frontman Mick Davis (vocals, fiddle), Tommy Venxion (vocals, guitar, cittern, electric bass), George Lonergan (vocals, guitar) and Peter Cole (vocals, banjo, mandolin, tin whistle), and Also they had a special guest, Brian O'Connor (Flute, Tin Whistle). The band is somewhat similar to the Dubliners, not least because the average age is approximately the same. Your Repertoire and there was also this evening of songs, mostly instrumentals and some of it in a fun, silly sometimes, while very powerful and fast paced manner recited. Was a significant influence from North America, whether from Appalachian bluegrass, it was from Ontario and Quebec, where is the Irish-Scottish and French influence still unchanged again audible. American was the gag that Mick is putting on a pair of sunglasses and exaggerated gestures of a song from the 1950s were to the best, from the days of good old rock and roll. Brian could play a few times in between frantic Reels on his Overtone-whistle solo. These things do not just its price, but also really good sound! Sorry, unfortunately, but even here the mixing work is not calculated to increase the enjoyment. All the instruments were too loud and was towards the end just too painful. The mixer is determined otherwise dealing with rock and pop used to and a public that is always already brings Selektonen.
was beautiful the picture that presented itself at the end: both bands together on stage in beautiful alternating order. Too bad that my slide film was full already! Because then I could prove that as Irish folk guitarist now with straw hat, if you want Eckis and Georges hat interpreted thus. Sabrina told by a joint session in Swabia, where they had met. Yes, it was determined beautiful, and I found it again so wonderful, like this two or three generations of musicians played music. That's Folk!
Since then check the time, so after 23 clock, only a bus an hour to Siegburg, we hurried to get it. The Küz is recommended genuine, in the hope that the mixer to deal with acoustic folk music still learning. You sit there, well not in the crowded hall, which, while spacious, but looks comfortable. Although it is not always a buffet, there is a beverage dispensing, and forgot that at the "Guinness" is an n, well, who cares?

Model Of A Soccer Field
shit term due east wind, but with this new optical mask!
TG 148, Eckernförde pier, 28/05/2008, 00:38, 8.3 m, 16 ° C, exposed was less than 1m
Yesterday again the Wednesday meeting of the diving submersible guerrilla S. - H. instead, the Gunnar "corner Owner kindly hosts and the whole class is assumed.
There were Gunnar, Jan from Heath, Aishe, Nemo, Andrew, and I at the harbor a Delfi. There was
east wind so strong that on the south beach five surfers could be quite successful on the boards. The
hinted poor visibility! We made the same way, that we were only at the pier, not the artificial reef diving.
All together we went into the water, but we quickly lost sight of us, so I Jörg (Nemo) alone appeared. The others we looked carefully at the parking lot again, but this was so also in order because it was not to be expected.
The visibility was very bad, we could see only a large extent the appearance of strong lamps.
After a while I noticed that Jörg waved a bit hectic with the lamp. Distress signal after it saw is not enough. Despite serious efforts it was not possible to recognize what was a problem for Jörg. I was right beside him, he could only see dimly.
As it turned out he had the bottle in a trap line hooked and then cut loose himself. Really bad! So what can go wrong, too. Well, we had enough air and time to ...
little later then the next (very small) problem: Jörg me signaled a problem, pointing to his blue (Trocki) glove. A bright golden fish hook stuck in it. It was a herring cord with another hook. Since I do not damage the glove, I wanted to let the hook in it and would rather just cut off the cord with the other hook.
Later in phasing, we found a few more hooks and a nice sinker on Trocki Jörg. Hmm, but he is not a fisherman ... well, the way it is when, shortly after the herring time goes to a popular fishing spot diving!
Overall a dive again to say "I was diving again." otherwise nothing Dolls. Who was not there, who also missed anything!
The pizza afterwards in the "Barbarossa" in Ecktown it was a real reward for lost diving pleasure!
Despite the shitty view of the new Vyper 2 really good to read and has made his service with the compass really good! The compass turns but always after a minute again. Good would be a permanently-on connection, but there is apparently not
.
The " Sehmeile " in Hamburg, I'm me recently because of my long-sightedness (the term "presbyopia" I do not like to hear ...) and an optical mask (Cressi Matrix with +2 diopters close-up lenses) bought that yesterday I wore the first time. Really great! Only the down arrow to see the instruments-I noticed the effect of the lenses: absolutely sharp as a reading glasses! I have a first optical mask. The was good for nothing and I've used almost never. As was seen in part as always through the lens, which is totally counter-productive for the distance! This is the matrix with quite different: only when I want it, I look through the lenses!
class about it, I'm lookin! The mask was 180, - € uros while not T cheap but very useful, especially in the murky Baltic Sea!
Oh, nor to water: It now has a temperature that is for any wet or dry diving absolutely sufficient! Jellyfish this year I have also not yet seen (despite the east wind!), So that there is actually no reason not to go diving!

Vyper 2-initial experience
After I had previously owned the Suunto Vyper and with him was always very happy actually because of its reliability and simplicity, I showed particular interest in the newly released have come Suunto Dive Computers Vyper second
One shortcoming was the "old" Vyper in my eyes after only: the readability desDisplays I was never very pleasant. Sure, in the tropics, it is not very well but in the Baltic Sea at home anyway mostly poor visibility.
Lt. Advertising should be so now by the readability of the Matritzendisplay Vyper2 its just been improved.
The battery in my Vyper eh grad was empty, so that the new purchase. (Dry-presenter of a diving school on Ebay at good price)
At first glance, it looked great, what concerned the readability, even at second glance. (Read among others, Suunto)
The other new features make a well thought Impression. The last
TG inEckernförde I could then use the new computer the first time and must say that I was satisfied.
The display has been improved a lot! The view was typical of Baltic 1.5 to 2 m, but even the compass and the temperature could be read easily. Very good!
The compass've tried and I was quite happy. SK had my 7 on the console I do not used in addition.
pointed to the TG of the Vyper 2 me the TG data plus temperature, surface time and flying time, it's not everything you need.
All in all: A very good first impression!
What I have not yet figured out how to set water under a new bearing one? I have not seen derBedienungsanleitung. Over water, it is clear, but under water dissolves the same function from a bookmark. Hm, well is not that important!

Lobster Boat Designs Plans
-Eckernförde, artificial reef (Click for map!)
TG 147, Eckernförde, 14.05.08, 6.5 m, 0:53, 15 ° C Water
Finally!
After far too long again went diving! After more than half a year break Gunnar made me the "Check-dive after the break. Thanks Gunnar!
One would not make such long breaks, but one must first actually be a bit of pure thought into diving, I almost forgot, the Inflator to join!
were traveling with Aishe and Jan, I knew not yet, and Steffen (KT 2) came afterwards too.
Gunnar has kindly set up a regular diving every Wednesday at 18.30 clock on artificial reef in Eckernförde. Everyone is welcome and guided Gunnar. Great idea!
was not much to look at fish, I was quite surprised at the large number of small, grass, or pipefish, which we might encounter.
testing I could my new (used) HT-suit of waterproof and the new dive computer Suunto Vyper second About this I am still in a separate report writing. Only so much in advance: Nice additional features and a much better readability than the Vyper 1!
